Combine images into one PDF under a KB limit

The portal wants “one PDF, max 200KB” and you have several scans or photos? Add them, set the limit, and get one PDF under it — exact to the byte, never uploaded.

KB

10 to 20000 KB. Leave empty for no limit.

How it works

Each image is placed on a page in your order, and the tool finds the sharpest resolution and JPG quality that keeps the file under your limit, lowering quality first, then resolution. If the limit cannot be reached, it shows the smallest size possible. Sizes use 1 KB = 1,000 bytes, so the result also fits portals that count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes. With “No limit” images keep full resolution (up to 4000 pixels on the long side) at high quality, so the PDF can be larger than the originals.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your documents stay on your device.

My form wants a PDF under 100KB, 200KB or 300KB. Will it be readable?

It depends on how many pages share the limit. At 100–300KB, about one page of normal printed text or an ID card usually stays readable. Each extra page gets a smaller share, so three pages of small print under 100KB are usually not readable. Check the result before you submit. If it is too blurry, use fewer images, crop them to the document, or put two or four on one page. PDF already too big? Try compress PDF to exact KB. Combining several PDFs? Use merge PDFs under a KB limit. Form only accepts JPG? Use PDF to JPG under a KB limit. Just one photo? Use compress image to exact KB.

How do I put the front and back of an ID card on one page?

Add the front and back, then choose “Two per page, stacked (ID front and back).” Both sides go on one page, one above the other, under the same limit. Cropping each photo to the card first makes it larger on the page. If the form asks for one image instead of a PDF, set “Save as” to “One JPG image”: all images go on one picture under the same limit.

Can I select the text in the PDF?

No. The PDF holds pictures of your pages, like a scan. Transparent areas in PNG files become white.

Which images can I add?

JPG, PNG and WebP. HEIC files (the iPhone photo format) are not accepted; convert them first with HEIC to JPG. For a signature photo, the signature cleaner can first turn the background white and crop it to the ink.
