Convert PDF pages to JPG under a KB limit

The form says “JPG only, max 200KB” but you have a PDF? Pick the pages, set the limit, and download JPGs that fit. Your file never leaves your device.

KB

10 to 20000 KB. Leave empty for no limit.

Optional, 100 to 4000. Empty = automatic.

How it works

  1. Choose your PDF. Every page appears as a small preview, all selected.
  2. Untick the pages you don't need, and pick “One JPG per page” or “pages stacked” to get a single image.
  3. Set the size limit from the form, and a long side in pixels if the form asks for one.
  4. Convert, check the result, and download. Two or more JPGs can be saved as one ZIP.

Each page is drawn at up to 200 dpi, then the tool searches for the sharpest JPG that stays under your limit: it lowers quality first and resolution second. If you set a long side, only the quality is lowered. If a page cannot reach the limit even at the lowest setting, the tool shows the smallest size it made. Sizes use 1 KB = 1,000 bytes, so results also fit forms that count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes. Large pages are capped at 4,000 pixels on the long side to fit in phone memory.

Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is read and drawn inside your browser and stays on your device. The page loads its PDF reader (pdf.js) and, for ZIPs, a helper script from cdnjs, but your file is never sent.

How do I put an ID card's front and back in one JPG?

Select both pages and choose “One JPG, pages stacked.” The pages go one above the other with a white gap, and the size limit applies to the whole image. With many pages, each page gets fewer pixels, so small text may become hard to read.

What limit and pixel size should I use?

Use the numbers in the form's instructions; requirements differ between portals. If no pixel size is given, leave it on automatic. Check that the text is readable before you submit.

Why can't my PDF be opened?

It may be protected with a password, damaged, or not really a PDF. For a password-protected file, open it in your PDF reader, save a copy without the password, and try that copy.

Can I select the text in the JPG?

No. A JPG is a picture of the page, so links and selectable text are lost. If the form accepts a PDF after all, compress the PDF to an exact KB size instead. Going the other way, from photos to one PDF, use images to PDF under a KB limit.
