Prepare the common uploads for your India e-Visa or OCI form

Pick your application, add your photo, signature and documents, and get each file in the format and size the official form asks for. Download them one by one or all at once.

Your passport and documents never leave your device — once the line below says “Ready”, you can even switch off Wi-Fi.

Loading the file tools…

Portals don't accept ZIP files — unzip and upload each file to its own field.

This checks file type, pixel size and file size only. It does not check head size, background, lighting, or whether a document is the right one and readable.

How it works

Pick your application. Each box is one file you may need to upload, with its rules and a link to the official page they come from (checked 30 October 2026). Photos are cropped to the right shape and saved as JPG inside the size limits; for the OCI signature, the paper is turned white. Documents can be PDFs, photos or both: they are joined in your order into one PDF. Only if that file is too big are its pages turned into images to fit. Every finished file is opened again and checked before you can download it.

Sizes use 1 KB = 1,000 bytes for limits; minimums count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes, so files pass either way. For OCI documents the tool uses 500 KB, the limit given by the Embassy of India in Buenos Aires. If the text in a compressed PDF looks hard to read, keep fewer pages.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser. After the page opens, it downloads its PDF, ZIP and HEIC tools from cdnjs (on a data-saver or very slow connection, only when you press “Prepare for offline” or need them). Once the line under “Application” says “Ready”, it keeps working with no internet connection. You can check this in your browser's developer tools (Network tab).

Questions

Can I upload the ZIP file?

No. Portals don't accept ZIP files. The ZIP only saves everything in one go: unzip it and upload each file to its own field.

Will my application be accepted?

We cannot promise that; officials decide. Deftfile is not a visa agent. The official sites are indianvisaonline.gov.in for the e-Visa and ociservices.gov.in for OCI.

Which pages of an Indian passport do I need for OCI?

The first page, the last page and the observation page, if any. Add the scan, then type the page numbers in “Pages to keep”, for example 1,3,32.

What does not work?

PDFs with a password or editing restrictions cannot be opened; save a copy without protection first. Bookmarks, links and form fields are not kept, and a digital signature is no longer valid after joining. Many pages or very large photos can be slow on a phone. Some HEIC photos cannot be decoded; use HEIC to JPG on a computer, or set the iPhone camera to “Most Compatible”.
